The central library is a center of information for students and faculty. The library aims to provide most dynamic learning and research environment to the users. The library provides traditional library services as well as streamlines access to wide range of e-resources. The library consists of a main hall. The professional library staff is available in nursing and allied health department. It is well-stocked library with the latest professional books and journals covering all biomedical and clinical sciences as well extracurricular books. A digital library access is also in process for students with Higher Education Commission (HEC) digital library and has all the latest journals and periodicals.
SKILLS LABORATORY
NIMS-CON students are given the opportunity to work on manikins for their practical. This teaching strategy empowers students and gives them the confidence in performing a wide range of nursing procedures with confidence at the hospital side.
Patient care stations have been designed in NIMS-CON’s Skills Lab for students to practice both basic and advanced nursing skills.
Students receive individual guidance and instructions in the performance of key nursing skills, including vital signs, medication administration, intravenous therapy, and sterile techniques
COMPUTER LAB
The use of technology has become inevitable, especially in the post-COVID-19 era. NIMS-CON encourages its teachers and students to adopt internet and technology in teaching and learning.
The college has set up a Learning Management System (LMS), specifically Moodle, for online and hybrid teaching. Course materials are regularly uploaded on the LMS, allowing students to access course guidance from their homes.
Moreover, students have the option to upload their assignments to the LMS for grading.The LMS is consistently updated to provide students with information regarding their courses, examinations, and other relevant notifications. Platforms such as Google classroom and Zoom are utilized for delivering lectures.
LABORATORIES
The institute strongly believes that implementation of theory without practical is useless and for that purpose the academic building consists of three fully functioning labs, one on each floor with all the equipment’s and instruments to meet the need of practical’s.
AUDIO VISUAL ROOM
The institute comprises of a modern audio visual room comprising of latest audio visual aids to break the learning and fluency of language barrier in students.
AUDITORIUM / LECTURE HALLS
The air-conditioned auditorium located in the institute, houses advanced audio-visual facilities. With its seating capacity of 200 students, it serves as an excellent venue for conferences, seminars, debates and other such events, and so as the lecture theater accommodating more than 150 students at a time.
