 Program Purpose Goal

  • The purpose of this course is to introduce students to community health nursing, health promotion and disease prevention across the life span. A major focus of this course is for students to critically think about and discuss the role of community health care nurse within a global environment.
  • Public Health nursing students will be exposed to the culturally diverse population, health disparities that exist in the country, and to deal with disparities.
  • Students will enhance critical thinking skills by planning and implementing a service-learning project in the vulnerable population community.

Lady Health Visitor Course Layout according to PNC Curriculum

  • Total Duration: 2 year
  • Year one: Midwifery 52 Weeks
  • Preliminary Nursing, Three Months (12 Weeks)
  • Midwifery Course:09 months (40 Weeks)
  • Year Two: Public Health (52 Weeks)

    F.Sc (Pre-Medical) 50% Marks2 YEAR
    Matric 55% Marks in aggregated science sub Year Midwifery
    1 Year Public Health Diploma
    Only for females
    Age Limit 18 to 30 Years
